Wyoming Barn

This poor milk barn was neglected for many years; it was

to be a complete gut.  Both the lower and upper floors were

removed, along with all existing windows.  The stability

of the structure was questionable and needed to be reinforced.

A garage door was cut and a sufficient header was installed to      code.  Notice the upper and lower floors are already removed.

The upper deck is now installed with doubled 18" LVL beams to provide the main support.  The upper deck is complete

with a 3/4" tongue and groove sub-floor.  All the windows have been removed, and new energy efficient windows installed.  The electrical service was completely replaced to comply with code and provide adequate lighting.

With all of the structural components installed, the

board and batten siding can be attached.  No

maintenence white aluminum is installed to the old

fascia with vented white metal soffit to "set off"

the upper trim work.  The window, base and corner

trim is all Hardie board that will never rot or need be

        repainted.

The transformation is complete.

New garage and entryway doors

are installed.  The cement skirting

and pad are finished and sealed.

Decorative lights accent the garage

door.
