Sparta Tile Bathroom Addition

This bathroom was an addition to a small cottage.   The homeowners choose subway tile for the shower walls with 1x1 glass accent band.   The installed tub is cast iron.   The picture was taken during the installation of a warm floor.   With the tile board already down the heating elements are attached to the floor then gone over with thinset.   The heating element is ran to a electrical box that contains a thermostat to regulate the temperature.

The tile shower ceiling was installed at a 45 degrees and a ceiling fan was installed to exhaust the steam.   The Kohler fixtures are a brushed nickel with optional hand shower attachment.

The vanity is cherry wood with double sinks.   A laminate countertop with a cherry wood edging was installed.   Medicine chests are matching cherry wood with walnut inlays.   The floor is custom porcelain mosaic tile.   A bulkhead was built to mount the light fixtures for direct light.
